What are Long Term Visas (LTVs)?
- LTVs allow the holder to stay in India for more than 180 days.
- They are a special category of visas issued to certain foreign nationals, often for humanitarian or settlement purposes.
Who Can Apply for LTVs?
- Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Afghan nationals with valid travel documents seeking permanent settlement in India, including citizenship.
- Extension for Pakistani nationals who are unable to renew their Pakistani passports.
- Individuals from minority communities in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan who entered India on or before 31st December 2014, with or without travel documents.
- Foreign nationals claiming refugee status.
