The Centre has introduced Ayushman Sarathi, an official WhatsApp-based digital platform to enable beneficiaries to access a wide range of services under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).
About Ayushman Sarathi
- It is developed by the National Health Authority (NHA) to simplify access to services under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).
- Built on secure API integration with the PM-JAY digital platform, it enables beneficiaries to access multiple scheme services through a single digital interface with real-time support.
- The chatbot allows users to verify eligibility, generate and download the Ayushman Card, complete eKYC, link Aadhaar, and use card management features, including locking and unlocking their PM-JAY card.
- It also enables beneficiaries to view their treatment history and wallet balance, locate empanelled hospitals, and access essential scheme-related details.
- The platform incorporates an integrated grievance redressal mechanism, allowing users to register, track, or withdraw grievances, request a callback, and submit feedback after treatment.
- Senior citizens aged 70 years and above can access and download the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card, which provides health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh under the scheme.
- By providing 24×7 digital access to PM-JAY services, the chatbot reduces the need for physical visits and enhances accessible, efficient, and citizen-centric service delivery.
- Beneficiaries can access the chatbot by sending “Hi” to the official PM-JAY WhatsApp number +91 72908 23838 or by scanning the designated QR code.
