Context

India and Italy have recently unveiled a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2026–27, outlining a roadmap for enhanced engagements and collaboration between the armed forces of the two countries.

About Italy

  1. Italy is situated in south-central Europe and occupies the Apennine Peninsula.
  2. It shares land borders with Switzerland and Austria to the north, Slovenia to the northeast, and France to the northwest.
