Chairman:

Q1.Asked about academic and professional background.

Q2. What was the reason for failure of Silicon Valley Bank. 1 cross question on this.

Q3. What is principle of natural justice.

Q4. Can contempt of court be considered violation of principle of natural justice.

Q5. Justice should also be perceived to be done so would not it be better if another judge sat in a contempt of court proceedings. Some cross questioning on this.

Member 1:

Q1. In Indore MP, Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas was celebrated. What is it about?

Q2. Is there a specific date for it and is there any significance of that date.

Q3.  Let’s make you the SDM of a district, you are busy in family life and there are law & order situations happening in your district. The SP goes and takes care of it without telling you about it or keeping you in the loop. What will you do?

Q4. You have done cultural activities, what is culture according to you?

Q5. Can language be considered as part of culture.

Q6. What can be done to promote local languages which are being lost.

Member 2:

Q1. Let me give you a proposition, Reading fiction is not a useful hobby as its living in a make-believe world. What is your opinion?

Q2. Norway and many African countries are rich in natural resources, yet there is a stark difference in their development. What is the core reason for that.

Q3. Let’s make you the prime minister of the country, what are the 5 areas you would work on and what will you do.

Member 3:

Q1.  There is a lot of social media use among bureaucrats, is it appropriate. Should it be allowed.?

Q2. While answering, I mentioned private accounts for personal use at which point Chairman sir asked about it.

Q3. There was some cross-questioning and discussion with the panel member where he mentioned the tussle on social media between an IAS and IPS in Karnataka.  Asked if I had heard of the committee formed to assess whether there can be reforms in the civil services exam process. If the exam cycle of 18 months is too long and what can be done to improve the process.

Member 4:

Q1. Whether I have heard of constitutional moment and if I can mention any constitutional moment in the history of India which is not through judicial or legislative process?

Q2. Asked about internship with MP of Rajya Sabha and what did I do there?

Q3. Questions on reforms to tackle judicial pendency (Part of the internship)?

Chairman Told, me that this is a simple conversation where they just want to get to know you. This isn’t a police investigation and they have respect for anyone sitting in that chair. Answer only if you know and if you don’t it’s okay to say you forgot.

candidate : Interview is over, and whether I would like to say or tell them anything. I expressed my gratitude towards the exam process and thanked them for the opportunity and their patience.

Experience - 20-25 minutes, Board was cordial and listened patiently.
