- It is Southeast Asia's first pollution control vessel of its kind.

- It has the most advanced pollution response and control equipment for containing oil spills in the Exclusive Economic Zone.
- For storing oil spills, it has tanks and inflatable barges.
- With a storage capacity of 500 KL, the ship may conduct unhindered oil recovery operations.
- A twin-engine Advanced Light Helicopter may be flown off and on board the vessel, along with a Chetak helicopter.
