Historical Background of Cholistan

Historical Significance of Cholistan

  1. Cholistan has a rich history and was home to an Indus Valley culture that was largely based on agriculture.
  2. The region also housed several medieval forts built to protect and support the desert caravan routes.
  3. Derawar Fort, located in Cholistan, stands as the most notable and well-preserved example of these historic forts.
